Young people caught using cannabis are forced to work hard for the state in penal colonies across the country. Veranika Nikanava was a Belarus-born actress, filmmaker, and activist. She was deeply concerned about human rights and liberties in her homeland and was an active member of the Belarusian community in New York.
“Generation 328” was the last film project of Veranika Nikanava. Veranika tragically passed away on July 25, 2019, at the age of 24.
